Perl is the duct tape of the Internet and it can do practically anything. Especially, since there are
at least seven or eight Perl modules for anything anyone would want to do. This example uses several of
them. Notably, the great libwwww-perl
to make the HTTP request and get the response and JSON to
parse the result.

The example shows one way to connect to the API and download each NBA team's current roster.
Note
Perl's printf function assumes every character is exactly one byte so the alignment
in the example program's output is wrong when players have diacritics in their names. It is not critical
for this example, but if alignment is important in your application, see the
Unicode::GCString module.
